This analysis is not made to undermine Dhoni, but when it comes to test matches it looks like his team mate Dinesh Karthik has the edge nevertheless of opening the innings few times.
Given his reputation, Dhoni has to take a leaf out of his own book from the recently concluded ODI series in Australia. When he can do it in ODI's why not in tests.
